The Boneyard

 The Boneyard

Address: 12 Wyrmhoard Bridge. Kikun-Zahar. Erebor Homesteads.

Prelude: When the Erebor neighborhoods were released, there was a certain amount of excitement when it came to the introduction of mobile hooks. While the smallest house might have only had one enormous yard slot, moving things into the air seemed to be an excellent edition to the housing system. Unfortunately, there really wasn't much that can be done when a number of huge decorations were being tied to the ground. I originally set the place up with all my snowy and stone decorations, but my brother felt that was too unrealistic or impractical. So this time around, I broke out the ice and went for a more dragon-style approach.

Outside

Dragon Fight: To fit the theme of dwarves, the outside was converted into a battlefield. There are three of the newest small dragon skulls from Ill Omens, two large skulls from the Reward Track, one huge one from the barterer, and the Bones of Smaug from the Keeper of Mysteries. The hardest task was finding the right decorations to simulate a defense. There was no room to add huge or enormous decorations like the Arched Well-house, and most of the stairs available only went up in one direction. My best course of action was the Arnorian Gate-house paired with a couple of goblin-town stairs from Rivendell. To add to the ambience, a couple of Moria mirrors and dwarf catapults were placed on the stairs at each end. If only they would continue to point in the same direction every time I visit the house. You can count a total of 7 mounts all at the ready under the Aqueducts.

Inside

Dwarf Pleasures: Even with all the dwarf-themed decorations, there are still another 100 in storage that could be placed in another house. You won't be seeing the Gundabad maps, troll statues, or small trinkets and souvenirs from the Reward Track. The main hall sports a single firepit with a number of drake and troll trophies from the The Legacy of Durin and the Trials of the Dwarves. On your left are a couple of Enormous piles of gold, a banker, an interactable Chest of the Treshold, and a supplier. On your right are your residence and study rooms. The far back imitates a cave with a throne and a pet Massive Sleeping Deep-Claw (with his eyes open).

Crevices: Of course, there are still a lot of knick-knacks to explore. Under the stairs is a mysterious statue standing guard in front of a pile of gold. On the way up is a painting of Durin's Bane with his flame so hot that you can feel its pulse. In the attic hosts two very important dwarf legends who died protecting their home. Amusingly, the music piece inside the house is the Prancing Pony to maintain a more welcoming feeling.
