World Quests

World System: The development team has had a hard time trying to figure out what the endgame players want to do at the level cap. During a We Have a Cave Troll in September 2025, Orion talked a few minutes about adding a world event system that gives players a list of things to do on a daily basis. This "new" system didn't go well on release. Many players had no idea where to go or what was available each and every day. Players were scrounging up their own lists mere days after the expansion released. At one point, they even had to disable one for a fix. Once you reach level 160, completing the quest Strife Across the Land automatically unlocks all of these quests.

Regional Quest Boards: After two months of confusion, they added Regional Quest Boards at the four main settlements in the Kingdom of Harad regions in Update 46.1. These can be found at Sul Madásh, Jiret-menêsh, Zajâna, and The Dawn-warden. These correspond to the Persistent deeds for each region that was also added in Update 46.1. Because those deeds were released later, they do not contribute to any meta deed. These quests cannot be shared with other individuals and all come with their own individual quirks. Some can be done everyday while others are on a rotation. Some can easily be done without combat while others may require some travel time. Most quests will automatically provide you a bounty reward box with two account-bound 250 reputation point tokens towards any of the four factions once you complete the objective. To help better understand them, the categories below will help distinguish their objective types.

Weekly Quest: Completing any one quest will automatically unlock a weekly wrapper quest, similar to the On a Mission weekly quests. Complete 20 daily quests for 500 ember. Once you complete the "basic" quest, you then automatically unlock the Further Defence quest to complete 30 daily quests for 1,000 ember. The wrapper quests will remain in your quest log even after the weekly reset each Thursday. If you fail to complete the second wrapper quest, you will still obtain a new basic weekly quest when the reset occurs. In this case, any daily quests completed will then count towards both weekly quests.

Reputation Tools: Any tool that you can craft to open objects on the ground can be turned in for a daily. You need 8 of a tool for a single quest completion. Only do this once if you are trying to complete the deed. You are severely hindering yourself losing out on a lot of potential reputation in the region doing these quests. These include...

  • Aiding a Gentle Harvest
  • Acid for Acquiring Assets
  • Keeping Up with the Grind
  • A Kit for Rune-reading
  • The Keys to Our Past

Weekly Rotation: Lord of the Rings Online loves to have these weird rotations to their daily quests. We've seen it confuse players when they released Northern Mirkwood. This time, they decided to rotate three separate sets of quests over a period of five days. What you get is two days with one set, two days with another set, and then one day with the third set. Keeping up with them can be difficult, but you can sort of figure out what quests are available from any one location with the help of the wiki page

On the Spot: There are daily quests that you can do without combat. These are generally close-by and easy to complete. They include...

  • Managing the Land - pick up some garden tools in a field nearby at Sul Madásh. This can be done everyday.
  • More Nakhód Júra - there is a quest for Zajani Stew that offers an account-bound recipe for cooks. The recipe itself is very complex, but the quest will accept any that are made with 4 Universal Ingredient Packs for a set of 5. The quest in Zajâna requires 8. This can be done everyday.
  • Polishing Crystals to Send Below - this quest in Jiret-menêsh is extremely easy as all you need to do is pick up a satchel really close by and polish the gems by clicking the button five times. It is only available one day a week.
  • Keep Quiet the Anguished Wind - this quest in Idagâl isn't available everyday but asks you to place wards down and then heal frightened soldiers. There were reports of some only able to click the ward spots in a specific order and you may need to wait for a soldier to appear as they are shared with other players.
  • There are a couple of odd quests you find in Idagâl but not where you might expect. You need to travel to the Dawn-warden to obtain the quests and then route back to Ahaba. Finding More of the Flock requires you to find some lost sheep. The next day, you can do Gathering More Fruit off the tress and bushes.

Good Sets: These are decent quests you can do that doesn't take long to complete. They generally provide other benefits that make them worthwhile. These quests are good to advance the weekly wrapper quest.

  • Sul Madásh has a set of quests that group well together for the orc slayer deed. One is at Fushaum Sûlm where you can do Taken in the Night, Waste not..., and Pillagers in the Mist. Grab yourself Strakhal the Strangler quest off the bounty board too.
  • Sul Madásh has another set at The Cloakwood good for the spider deed. These quests follow the previous set with ...Want Not, Spare Them From Their Fate (it still counts even though nobody actually falls out of the webs), and Woven in the Rot. Its auxiliary quest Ambling through Adagim offered at the same time is rather easy once you realize that any of the bog-lurkers in the whole region with "Ambler" instead of "Roamer" count towards the quest (even if they are outside the suggested objective circles or no longer pose a threat as a level 151 enemy).
  • Idagâl has a quest called Serpent Kings that is available a couple days a week that sends you to the tall grass south of the settlement. This helps with the cobra slayer deed and their baby-stealing leader bounty quest.

Tough Sets:

  • Sul Madásh has a third set that might be overwhelming for some players but a good source to complete for the huorn and wood-troll slayer deeds. You are tasked to face yourself against some tough enemies at the Mires of Moth Thúruch with Assessing the Blight, Attacking the Blight, the Blight-fungus, and the Blight-keepers.
  • Jiret-menêsh spreads their quests across the region and aren't really worth doing in general. A Threat from Ancient Times would be good for the Utugi slayer deed and maybe defeating the sûlok for the bounty board. Restore the Barricade of Light occasionally bugs and may only be done the day you accept it. Rulers of the Roost would be good to be paired with the bounty bird as well.
  • Jiret-menêsh second set isn't even worth attempting. If you do manage to endure Iron from the Sky, the daily will have you collecting another dozen little pieces of iron off the ground. To Restore the Lodes is a quest that can be rather difficult as the young and older mumaks are often chained close together.
  • Zajana has a number of quests located at Jag Gólod that can be quite exhausting. Recovering Relics, Taking the Fight to Them, The Cure Among the Tyrants, Lay Them to Rest, and even maybe Respect For the Dead depending on the day takes a bit of time to travel down. Though the good part comes from defeating Ordâkhai since they can drop reputation tokens for Hamat Renewed
