Idagâl

Idagâl

Region: The final area in Kingdoms of Harad revolves almost entirely around one chain of quests. It starts from where Mizâdi Shâra-ingari left off in Zajâna with a Subuzûri Messenger informing you visit the Dry-whelm that skips over An Shêru almost entirely. Learning about how the opposing army mind controls people to work in the mines is merely a prelude to what you will discover in Emax Dûl. You reach the Hamâti Forward Camp and become acquainted with the Beltáni at Ahâba. Almost the entire region is filled with what sunk at the bottom of the waters all those years. There are bones, shipwrecks, and a number of different kinds of scavengers that still remain. The locals still pass down stories of Ushumût, Shagâni for the Grave of Serpents, where three dragons were supposedly struck down by a mythical hero of the First Age. There are still multiple sites where people setup camp such as Dur Nâgu (Shagâni for Fortress of the Island) that used to be a shipyard of an ancient Néshakari fortress and the Dawn-warden well-known for the statue Izighûz Menûndari that is currently being haunted by Ishími the Anguished Wind.

Mechanics: The developers take full advantage of several different techniques to tell the story of this region. In addition to the standard story instances, you can call forth Hidâti as you help aid her plight as an Elder Kâparai to banish an evil spirit in Ishími, the Anguished Wind. Arâniz helps you put on an actual Ordâkhai uniform that cosmetically applies over your current outfit as you try to free people out of the pit-mine inside Esh Mêkag. Then in a turn of events, you can experience the tale of Princess Kotráka Saiya in a session mode. Just know that the game will see you as a completely new character in this retelling and throw every level-gated quest at you. Once you complete your end of the deal with her, the game will open a new pathway into Emax Dûl.

Instances: Kingdoms of Harad is rich with private encounters. As a comparison, Adagím has 3, Kighân has 5, An Shêru has 6, and Idagâl has 7. But when playing through Idagâl, you'll notice how expansive those areas can be. Scenario commented that you can tell that the developers are having fun making them. The chain of events begin with Life on the Other Side when you view the palace from a royal's perspective. The second time you enter is in combat with Our End of the Deal. The third time is from The Siege of Emax Dûl when you travel through the secret cave system. This leads you into the The Fight Goes On quests through the fortress. You'll be granted access to travel across the bridge and quickly between the two camps. The final encounter is The Fallen Palace where you discover the inner courtyard and secret passageways with Ekal-nêbi, the Fallen Palace instance that were unavailable in the previous encounters. All of these show different perspectives with the same space.

"Are you here to take the children? What lies have you spread to convince my sister to abandon her empire, husband, and sister?" - Dark Priestess Barkhuráni

Deeds: Mûr Ghala has a lot of deeds and they all seem to be located within the same category. You'll find them under the Haradwaith tab in your deed log. The slayer deeds continue this new format where you get 150 virtue experience for defeating 50 enemies and 2,000 virtue experience with 5 Lotro Points for defeating another 100 more. There are sub-meta categories for completing all enemy slayer types for Ordâkhai, brigands, spiders, and orcs. Some of the enemies in the instances, like the Ordâkhai, and a couple in the missions, like crocodiles, do count towards the slayer deeds. There is also a sub-meta category for completing all treasure cache deeds. These must be completed for the explorer meta deed in each region. Unlike other regions, the developer made some of the treasure caches in Idagâl match the environment with one behind a named boss encounter and another that plays out in a mission.
