Adagím

Adagím

Description: The Blight, also known as the Rot, has essentially consumed all of the old Emerald Wood forest. Now known as Moulder-wood, which is Shagâni for Corpseholt, now has everything being corrupted by this foul mushroom-like infestation. When the Ordâkhai invaded Shagâna and cracked the earth using the Din of Stone, the water that remained turned the region into a bog that was ripe for the Lâg Dávrit to take over. Abandoned by many of the Adúrhid, literally named as the Elves Without A Home, only a small few of the Kintai stayed behind to continue the fight to reclaim their land.

Quests: Each of the regions incorporate their own mini-Epic questline that opens up more quests as you meet characters and explore more of the narrative in the region. This area conveniently names the 10-part quests as the Fate of the Moulder-wood. In addition to finding the occasional random quest in the middle of nowhere or quest along the way, the group quests at the "Hunter's Camp" or barterers for the raid can also be discovered for endgame. The one problem is how a number of quests point you to an area with an objective without telling you precisely where it is on the map. Charting the Spread requires you to come within a few feet of the small samples of blight before they appear.

"Greetings adventurer, I have a mushroom problem." - Sílivat

Region: You will discover many things in your search for the cause of the blight and how to counteract against it. For example, your initial findings in the orc encampment leads you to believe that they are not actively trying to spread the infestation. Laivárth is barely surviving by encircling their camp with fire. Many of the elves that stayed behind continue to put their lives on the line performing dangerous experiments on learning why the plague is spreading faster than before and revive those who have fallen ill. Even the warden of the Mother tree seems powerless after the poison took root (literally) and diminished their conversations. Your old buddy Viznak surprises you with a couple of rangers at one of the Kintai watchposts to perform his own experiment on you personally with mixed results. The raid questline that begins after your adventure in Idagâl will have you hear more about their discoveries and the arrival of the merrevail.

"I did not think we would encounter you in these southern lands." - Faeron

Mechanics: The developer of this region designed a small number of quests as discoverable objects on the western side of the region. These include observing some barricades in the woods, inspecting a dead orc's body, examining some strange pods for three separate quests, checking out a warning sign on the outskirts of the region, and finding a cocoon wrapped in spider web. The developer also incorporated progressive quests that force you to perform one objective before making the next set available. As an example, you may need to reach a location first before being assigned to collect samples off the ground multiple times.

"Orcs really don't like walking trees, do they?" - Resolina

Mushrooms: Surprisingly, there is another unique feature of this region explored in the main questline. Enemies in the region will occasionally drop a colored blight. They will briefly appear to be constipated for a couple seconds before one of three different mushrooms drop on the ground. More than one can drop from the same enemy overtime. Each mushroom will periodically emit a small cloud all around that can buff opponents up to 6 times. There does not seem to be any connection of what color mushroom spawns to the colored exterior or type of enemy. It neither appears to be a reaction to your movements or skills used in combat. There is no induction bar, but you can interrupt the animation with a stun or remove each tier of the buff using your corruption-removal skill. Make sure to pull your opponent away from the mushroom as destroying one can take a considerable time depending on the circumstances. The colors are as follows:

Yellow heals, Red increases their damage, and Blue increases their defence

Types: Kingdoms of Harad does not have your typical regions with set levels. Don't expect Adagím to have a standard supply of level 151 to 153 enemies that you can run through with ease. There will be enemies that have less than 100,000 morale grouped together with "elite" versions that can have two or three times that much. Huorns and wood-trolls can start as signatures and have upwards to 500,000 morale even as a level 153 enemy. They can follow you across the region before giving up for much longer. The region also has a variety of level 160 enemies for their dailies, bounties, and other activities for endgame. The area in the southeast has a stronger variety of blighted foes designed for group content that range from 1 million to 5 million, or even 113 million morale for the Roving Threat boss.
