Vartulin: Among the dying wasteland is a grove of elves doing their best despite the current circumstances. They desperately need your assistance in making sure those who are fading are made comfortable, bringing forth water to the trees, and most importantly figuring out what is causing such corruption across the region. You speak with a bewildered man who lives by himself out in the middle of nowhere that somehow reminds you of Radagast the Brown. He asks you of what appears to be simple tasks finding his hat and walking stick. Afterwards, he admits that the legend of Cúridwan, the Golden Maiden - one who can cure this sickness - is real and hides behind a wall of vines not too far away. Inside the lush valley, the woman informs you of the ingredients to make a salve for such an occasion. Your efforts do not go unnoticed by the grove-tender as they officially make you Tree-bearer for bringing the first of many trees back to the forests of Favrathór.
"When the tree resists the wind, it is the wood that cracks, never the wind." - Ildarthos
Children's Tale: Inside Urmâkh resides many tales and troubles. A man asks for your help getting the water to flow from a fountain. The blacksmith needs wood. The Queen of Renewed Hamat asks for your help against the encroaching enemies. However, one that trumps them all is the story the children tell of Shangarûd. It was a local legend about a "hungry storm in the guide of a man" who would gobble up men, children, and animals alike. You didn't think much of this story until the local dog-catcher you helped gather supplies went missing. Then another man who frequently visited the bar also disappeared. You find clues that lead you to an abandoned house and find yourself in the middle of a ghost story.
"Well, if rocks are to get us into this mess, it's rocks that will get us out of it, sure enough." - Mushêndu
Wasteland: While most of the extended story of the region is in the Crown of Hamat quest pack, there is still quite a bit you can do for Mizadi, the shara of Renewed Hamat. She grows worry when the scout she sent out named Razal didn't return on time. When traveling closer to his station on the western outskirts of Kûr Anzar, you find Razal bound and captured. You help him scout the locations of the region and get pulled into taking down weapons, rescuing people, and saving (written) history from being burned. There is even an unusual site to the southeast where apparently they sell water that helps you forget. This leads you to the instance of Tûl Zakana, the Well of Forgetting.
"The restless dead of Esh-kimâkhi make it impossible for us to scout further." - Razâl
