Fields of Duragâr: There are many things leftover from the old days that divide the landscape. On the far eastern reaches of Umbar that used to divide the people is Telperiën's Wall. Alas, there is very little consideration to the many stones that litter below the large gaps of its mighty presence. The locals are simply trying to get by growing orange trees, collecting honey from bees, or spending the days harvesting reeds for papyrus. To become more acquainted with their language, you learn how they reference the wildlife like zizanu are neekerbreekers and usan-kûni are scorpions. Don't be concerned if you find elements that are not part of any quest in the expansion since they might pertain to the Crown of Hamat quest pack.

Victims of War: Although the land appears to be safe from danger, there is a vigilant group on constant alert. The People of Shagâna known as the The Ikorbâni are always in conflict with the Ordâkhai people in the south. You might find yourself a man who lost an arm or a cook who is unable to walk. The people watch the Flood-span that divides Iridir with Eshadur from their watchtower. You help replenish their supply of arrows and scout the enemy encampment.

Kintai: You find someone in the village worried about their sister not returning after three days. You follow the trail of cut trees and find her wounded by a small campfire. Turns out that she was shot by an elf! He usually only scares those who try to encroach in his domain, but the woman was stubborn and not easily swayed by his attempts. Surprisingly, the gal wants to meet the elf of legend and learn more about his ways of tending the forest.

The Library: Leading the effort inside the lodge is Girhâzi who has a bit of a problem. In the prison cells is a restless man by the name of Khûldim Umûn who might be able to tell them where Dubarâkh, a hidden library full of history of their people, might be located within the region. The papyrus scroll on the table is just a taste of what they might be able to discover. With a little ruse, you intimidate the man into informing you of a search in the salt mines to the northeast. He leads you there but gets killed when a third party attacks. These people are part of the expansion's instance Ashunug, the Fane of the Accursed. They call themselves Anâkhi and worship the Usan-kûni who reside in the old mines. After locating a secret door and opening it with a special weapon, to your surprise the library does indeed exist and have nine readable scrolls scattered about on the tables and floor. You do not need to read them right away in the instance version of the quest since a guard will allow you to travel there as many times as you want back in Iridir.
