Inventory Cleaning Day

 Inventory Cleaning Day

What is Inventory Cleaning Day? Players have a tendency to put gameplay first and organization later. They like getting that treasured box in their inventory and immediately log off. This put a number of people completely by surprise when their precious Tier 10 delving reward boxes were disappearing from their inventory an hour after they got them. Some people aren't quite sure what to do when they claim hundreds of boxes from a single season of the Reward Track when they can't stack them. January was the last time I seriously played the game.

So for around the last 8 months, I've been cramming things in every corner space I had on my characters. Like my nephew who would shove his dirty clothes into the closet for two months, I could hear his mother telling me that it was time to do something about it. I was running out of room! I spent roughly 8 hours yesterday sorting through the mess and figured I would share my work for those who were curious.

 Items

First, we need to evaluate where everything was coming from. The schedule reveals some of the information. The first was everything from Seasons 8,9,10,11 of the Reward Track:

  • Approximately 25 boxes of Ancient Script of 600 (that wasn't included with any bundle) added to the current supply now totals around 55 altogether.
  • About 65 boxes of Ancient Script of 200 (half were already used upon claiming).
  • All Enhancement Runes were used
  • All Sealed Traceries, Rare were immediately disenchanted for Ancient Script
  • Around 35 boxes of Sealed Tracery, Incomparable boxes
  • 8 boxes of Sealed Tracery, Legendary boxes
  • 16 Tracery Token, Incomparable boxes (with a few more in the bundles)
  • Tracery Token, Legendary boxes are only available in bundles
  • Six Umbar craft tracery boxes
  • Three Umbar heraldry tracery boxes
  • 16 boxes of 1,000 Ember & Figments (half were used before Filbert Fig arrived in July)
  • 45 Decorations included: 8 from Elvish Pavilion (main structure added to kinhouse), 14 from Nautical Housing Collection, 13 from Umbar Housing Collection, 1 from Gaffer's Delight, and we still haven't reached the final tier of 9 for Eerie Apothecary Housing collection.
  • Approximately 8 bundles with pets (3 were already used), various frames (all used), and a cosmetic teapot.

Next, we need to calculate the number of festival items. Steeds are automatically consumed. The occasional extra pet was stored. There were several decorations obtained:

  • I might not have obtained things like the wintry sconce or decorative vase from the gold hobbit presents during the Yule Festival, but I did snag some silver hobbit gifts (either through Yule Festival or Midsummer Festival) that had six umbari beds, five coffee tables, and two tapestries. There were also two selection boxes that may or may not be used to obtain a couple of snowmen brawler training dummies. I obtained from the barterer two wintry outdoor fire-pits, two wintry lantern posts, and two wintry yule wall banners.
  • Ill Omens: Jackal, Snake, and Crab.
  • Nothing was kept from the Crafting Event or Curator
  • Spring Festival: 4 cosmetic items, 3 snails (maxed out on tokens), 2 Tasty Herb Patches
  • Myrtle Mint: 2 cosmetic items, 2 tapestries, and one pelt. One pet was immediately used. Other cosmetics and decorations were made lootbox only.
  • Midsummer Festival introduced several new types of tropical trees. There were approximately 25 bought in total. Two quiver signs, a cosmetic staff, and a circlet was also obtained. An extra wine red snake was kept.
  • Farmer's Faire: 4 cosmetic items and 2 extra cows. There were also the Farmer's Fine Walls & Floors.
  • Filbert Fig: three birdcages (since one can be placed on a doormat) and "outfit" which is just the chest piece (since the backpack is lootbox exclusive).
  • Treasure Bugan Event provided a new treasure sack with a chest. I bought a couple auroch pets since my currency was at the maximum. In addition, the quests provided a crafting box and cache for completing the daily quest each day for 4 days for 4 characters. For completing the wrapper, I received a box of crafting supplies, virtue experience boost, cache, and tracery token (incomparable). That's a total of 48 items ((2 x 4 x 4) + (4 x 4)).
  • Tale of the Shipwrecked Mariner may not have had any new items, but I still had the five cosmetics from the 11th mission just in case my mule character didn't have them.
  • Harvestmath Festival in a few days will provide three cosmetic items, two pets, and two decorations.

Now let's pull out some things that might not have been part of the schedule:

  • A number of things are still unavailable to me without buying the expansion, but a few things were received through the Epic. This includes the Portrait of the Bear, two sarcophagus from the Auction House, a few miscellaneous items from the barterer, and four posters of Horn (two characters receiving large and small versions).  In addition, the release of the instances also allowed me to collect each of the 12 signs and another 6 selection boxes.
  • The Dragon and the Storm swamped my inventory with five red streamers, five yellow streamers, four dragon chairs, four red dragon paintings, two dragon paintings, five healthy pot wisterias, and six medium potted sago palms. That doesn't include anything bound from the third tier of the instance such as fireplace, grand gazebo, or the tapestries.
  • There was a promotion for two steeds. One I ended up throwing away because it was part of the 5th Anniversary box. The other fireworks steed shall sit in my inventory until I subscribe one day.
  • I unexpectedly received about 100 items from a kin-member. Roughly 80 of them wound up being sold to the vendor as that is where they came from in the first place. About 15 were exclusively obtained from the festival and held some value. Roughly 5 could be added to my personal house.
  • One user has and is having a sale on all their decorations for roughly 5g to 15g each. I obtained 4 Shrew Houses, a couple paintings, a tree, and a couple of other miscellaneous items.
  • A collective supply of items obtained from the weekly code, daily hobbit presents, and festival maps were found sprinkled throughout my characters.
  • I've been slowly draining about 2,000 task items (having a Large & Small Task Carry-All helps) collected from 12 hours of two slayer tomes on two characters used through Eriador.
  • I've also accumulated 100 crafting recipes, several items, and task items from the crafting instances in Moria for legendary experience.
  • I've finally maximized my Path of Valour for Resolina, meaning there is less reason to run on Fearless through Thikil-gundu.
As you can tell, it was a long day lugging things across inventories, vaults, and house chests. I also had to make more ember-worthy crafts and make small adjustments to my characters overall.
