Allegiances

The Search

Introduction: The Allegiance system was always a strange one. It was first introduced through the Mordor expansion and it simply required you to have completed the final chapter of the Epic (which was how you were supposed to walk into Mordor in the first place), own the expansion, and be level 110. However, the tokens required you to complete the dailies (outside the lost lore book quests) which made it necessary to complete all the quests in the expansion. Because of this, many felt the system was too overbearing even though the chapters were completely worth experiencing for its story alone. What's different with the Zhelruka Allegiance is that you can do it at minimum level 20, press a button to join, and receive all the rewards through the Claim System without doing the chapters, including the Goat of Kept Promises - or as I like to call it the "Genie Goat" - earned at the highest level. That's right! You can also earn a goat to use for Moria and Gundabad after reaching level 30 in the Allegiance System. The chapters are completely optional. You will receive a few mission marks and a somewhat interesting story regarding The Hall of Vernozal if you choose to do them.

2-Chapter-2
"I think they put a dwarf in there to keep it going." - Elaelin

Bane of Helping: This brings me to this next segment. The chapters are excrutiatingly annoying. Remember when you had to find dwarves in Erebor without quest markers? Now imagine trying to do some of these objectives in an extremely large hall that has three floors and sometimes without a mount - since using them becomes disabled within an instance environment. I'm here to try and soothe that experience a little. Most of the information gathered here comes from the wiki, but I figured it would be good to lay it all out for you. If you consulted my post regarding all the things you need to do to prepare for Gundabad, then you must have at the very least learned how to join the Zhelruka Allegiance. Every single chapter has you doing something with The Hall of Vernozal. Most of these consist of sprucing things up with a few decorations or helping with guests. Although what you place down might disappear while doing the quest, they will continue to remain from the moment you complete the quest on everytime you visit the hall. Every chapter generally has a mission attached to it. However, it is important to note that Chapter 2 & Chapter 5 will require a normal Gundabad mission to be completed. It is also very important that doing any of this is not required for anything and can all be done at once if that's what you want to do once you reach level 30. You can still claim rewards and increase in level as you gain reputation.
